Why hardwiring matters

A dash cam plugged into a cigarette lighter only records when the car is running and leaves a cable dangling across the dash. Hardwiring puts the camera on a proper fused circuit, hides every centimetre of wire behind the headliner and pillar trim, and unlocks parking mode so the camera keeps watching while you are in a store or at work.

Choosing the right camera

Resolution matters less than sensor quality and heat tolerance. We recommend cameras that read licence plates at night, survive a car parked in the sun on a July afternoon, and use capacitors rather than lithium batteries so nothing swells in extreme temperatures. Cloud connected models are available if you want alerts on your phone.

Front, rear and interior

Most drivers start with a front and rear pair, which covers the two most common collision types. Rideshare and delivery drivers often add an infrared interior camera. We can run all three from a single hub with one tidy power feed.

Set up before you drive away

We format the card, set the time zone, adjust the sensitivity so speed bumps do not lock the storage full of false events, and show you how to pull a clip on your phone. You leave knowing how to use it, not with a manual on the passenger seat.
