Terms and conditions
Last updated 11 August 2026. These terms apply to all quotes, bookings and installation work carried out by our team.
1. About these terms
These terms form the agreement between you and Ottawa CarPlay Installer, operating in Ottawa, Ontario. They are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Booking an appointment means you accept these terms.
2. Quotes and pricing
Quotes are based on the vehicle details you provide and remain valid for thirty days. If the vehicle differs from what was described, or hidden damage or previous non standard wiring is found once panels are removed, we will stop, explain the issue and provide a revised price before continuing. All prices exclude applicable HST unless stated otherwise.
3. Deposits and payment
Vehicle specific parts are ordered only after a deposit is received. Deposits cover parts already purchased and are non refundable once an order is placed, though they can usually be transferred to alternative work. The balance is due on completion, before the vehicle leaves our care. We accept e-transfer, debit and major credit cards.
4. Appointments and cancellations
Please give at least twenty four hours notice to change or cancel an appointment. Time estimates are given in good faith. Weather, parts delivery delays and unexpected vehicle condition can extend a job, and we will keep you informed if that happens. For mobile installs you agree to provide safe, legal and reasonably sheltered access to the vehicle, along with power where the work requires it.
5. Workmanship and parts
We provide lifetime support on the workmanship of installs we carry out, for as long as you own the vehicle. Parts carry the manufacturer warranty supplied with them, which we will help you claim. Parts supplied by you are installed on a labour only basis and we cannot warranty their function or reliability. Support does not cover damage caused by accident, misuse, water ingress, further modification by others or normal wear.
6. Vehicle condition and liability
We treat every vehicle with care and carry appropriate insurance. Aged plastic trim, brittle clips and previously repaired panels can fail during removal despite correct technique, and we are not responsible for pre existing damage or for the failure of worn components. Please remove valuables before an appointment. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the work concerned.
7. Use of installed systems
You are responsible for using installed equipment lawfully and safely, including obeying Ontario distracted driving law and any rules on lighting, window film and video display while a vehicle is in motion. Features that would be unlawful to use while driving are supplied for stationary use only.
8. Warranty on your vehicle
We use reversible, vehicle specific installation methods wherever possible. You remain responsible for checking any manufacturer or lease agreement terms that apply to modifications on your particular vehicle.
9. Storage of vehicles
Vehicles left more than five days after completion without prior arrangement may be subject to a daily storage charge. We will contact you before any charge is applied.
